 My Family
My life has been set against many backdrops.  I've lived in WI, ND, IL, MN, TX, CA, FL and have come full circle back to Wisconsin.

School days found me attending Burnsville High School in Minnesota and then graduating from Klein High in Houston, Texas.  College days were spent on the campus of Northwestern College in Watertown, Wisconsin.  Seminary training took place at Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary in Mequon, Wisconsin.

During my career as a pastor I began a new congregation and also served two established parishes. I also served my national church body in various capacities.  I left the ministry in 2010 following a health issue (non-stroke related), recovered and now am substitute teaching while I pursue what is next for my life.

My life story took a severe detour in 1999 when I suffered a debilitating brainstem stroke.  From an initial "Locked-In" state of total paralysis, I have recovered almost completely.  The path of recovery was not easy or quick, and certainly served to teach me many things.
